The Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek 5 Days route has numerous tea houses along the way and every single tea houses have the menu system with different ethnic cuisines foods as well as western meals; you could pick up any kinds of a meal as you like to have during the trek, we would highly recommend the vegetable items instead of Meat because the meat in the mountain can be effected some time because it may not be used to it for the new travelers in this region. But some places provide you typical Nepali meals which are different types of international meals. These are prepared by the local supplement. Every tourist Lodge has a well-trained cook basically attention for clean, hygienic, fresh, and nice testy foods. The variety of drinks and every lodge have safe drinking water or mineral bottles of water you could buy. The water you could buy everywhere in the Annapurna region at a reasonable price but the price would go high when you go to high altitude areas. We also recommend you buy boiled water instead of cold which keeps your body warm.

Acute mountain sickness is an illness that can affect any mountain climbers, hikers, trekkers, or travelers at high altitudes, normally; it can be suffered above high of 9,000 feet. Acute mountain sickness is caused by reduced air pressure and lowers oxygen levels at high altitudes. If you feel dizzy, suffer palpitations or severe headaches, and return immediately to a lower altitude. Do not take altitude sickness lightly. It can be fatal! Please familiarize yourself with the symptoms of altitude sickness before your trek. Do not ignore even the mildest of altitude symptoms, inform your guide, porters, or hotel staff immediately. Generally, Our guides carry basic medicine and first aid equipment including simple painkillers, altitude sickness tablets, bandages, balm for muscle ache, and medication to treat diarrhea and vomiting.

It depends on the nature of the sickness. Generally, if you become sick, you will descend to a lower high altitude with the help and support of the staff. Most teahouses offer a variety of rice and noodle dishes, as well as soup and seasonal vegetables. A variety of cereals, bread, and egg dishes are generally available for breakfast. There will also be plenty of snacks available such as biscuits, chocolate, and soft drinks and in some areas, you will find fresh fruit in season.
