Langtang region is the third popular trekking destination in Nepal which is situated in the North of Kathmandu and it’s closed to Tibet. The Langtang region was established in 1976. Langtang treks belong in Langtang national park. This region has several trekking routes like Langtang Valley Trek, Langtang Gosaikunda Lake Trek, Tamang heritage trek, etc. Trekking in Langtang region offers the majestic view of Langtang Himalaya Range, Ganesh Himal range, rich culture, lush forest, breathtaking activities such like climbing the popular peaks, the high altitude sacred lake of Gosainkunda lake (4,300m/14,100ft), Dorje Lakpa range (6,988m/22,95ft) bisect the park from east-west to southeast. The summit of Langtang Lirung (7,245m/23,775ft) is the highest mountain in the Langtang region and heritage place and people in this valley.
