Managing Director
Dil Gurung

At an early age, Dil Gurung developed an abiding love for trekking in the Himalayas, growing up in a small mountain village in Nepal. With his outgoing personality and passionate drive to share the beauty of his country with the world, it was only natural that he would pursue a career in travel and tourism. After graduating from high school in his village, he packed his bags for the city and enrolled at Kathmandu University to make this dream a reality.

Dil has been working in the industry for more than a decade, starting as a guide and assistant manager at a handful of trekking agencies. Over the years, he's built a strong foundation of wide-ranging experience across most of the country's significant trekking regions, including Everest, the Annapurnas, the Langtang Valley, the Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, and Dolpo. He has guided clients worldwide and developed a fluent command of English, German, and Hindi along the way. Personally guiding travelers of every demographic has helped him to understand their needs and to develop an ethos of hospitality and service that has defined Alpine Ramble Treks since its inception.

Dil has achieved distinguished standards and completed international-level training courses from recognized bodies like the Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management (NATHM) and the Kathmandu Environment Education Project (KEEP). He also maintains high-level guiding certifications from the government's Nepal Tourism Board and various landations. These qualifications have allowed him to keep abreast of industry trends and to ensure that Alpine Ramble Treks is always poised to deliver the best possible trekking experience.

When you book your adventure with Alpine Ramble Treks, rest assured that you'll be working with a consummate professional who loves nothing more than sharing genuine travel experiences with people around the globe. Dil Gurung will ensure your trek lives up to your wildest dreams—so don't hesitate to get in touch today!
